Maria Stoyanova Agapiou


 
  Born on 01.12.1980 in Sofia. Starts to dance on the age of seven with standard and latin american sport dances (ballroom and latin). Together with Pambos she obtains class B. Aside from the standard dances Maria studies also rock and roll, ballet, and Bulgarian folk dances. On the age of 16 she discovers the Salsa and together with Pambos they continue their dancing career shaping themselves in Salsa. They appear in many advertisement and sound track clips, show and TV programs, parties, cocktails, etc. In May, 2003 Pambos and Maria form the group "Los Pambos" and participate as performers and instructors to many Salsa festivals in London, Marseille, Zurrich, Prague, Milan, Rome, Hamburg, Berlin, Geneva, Paris, Athens, Vienna, Istanbul, Thessaloniki, Bukurest, Konstantza, Cannes, Besancon, Monaco, Washington, LA, Miami, New York, etc. In 2003 Maria graduates "Special Pedagogics" at the University of Sofia. The same year she obtains a post-graduate qualification - Sport Dances trainer at the National Sport Academy. From April, 2004 Maria is an international salsa judge -
  1. 04.2004 Milano Salsa Open cuban, puerto rican, and bachata division.
  2. In 2005 - 3th national salsa championship. 05.2005 - a final round part of 1st BG Salsa Festival.
  3. In 2006 she judges at Sofia Salsa Open.
  4. In May 2006 is a judge at the qualification for the world salsa championship in Las Vegas.
  5. In 2007 takes part in the jury at the contests in Plovdiv, Sofia and Varna - part of Bulgaria Salsa Open.
  6. In May 2008 is a judge at the qualification round for the international championship part of 4th Fanta Salsa Festival.
  7. In July 2008 is a judge at the qualification round for the international championship part of 1st Black Sea Salsa Fest.
  8. In March 2009 is a judge at Social Salsa Open.
  9. In May 2009 is a judge at the qualification round for the international championship part of 5th Fanta Salsa Festival - also a round for the "Cup Of Bulgaria".
Starting from 2003-2004 Pambos Dancing Centre welcomes the youngest dancers. Maria successfuly developed and manages a children dancing group, which immediately gained popularity and is a big success. In April 2005 Pambos and Maria were invited to join the choreography crew in the american movie production "Black Dalia" directed by Brian De Palma. Pambos and Maria are the only performers from the Balkans invited on LA Salsa Congress. Following their successful debut in "Slavi's Show" in October 2006 Pambos and Maria were invited to join the choreography crew of Slavi's new projects "Dance with me 1" and "Dance with me 2" aired by bTV in 2007 and 2008.
